Dalkey Yoga Studio's mission is to offer high quality
yoga embracing all the stages of life and its challenges in a safe environment.
We aim to provide different styles of yoga to fit individual needs,
whether able-bodied or less able-bodied, experienced or beginner.
Our Styles: Mixed Ability This class includes a broad spectrum of the practice of yoga including circle work, chanting, asanas, breath work, meditation, and relaxation. These classes are suitable for both beginners and people with some yoga experience. This class is available in either 1 1/2 hour or 2 hour sessions. The two hour morning classes place emphasis on group support and personal development
Active
The active classes place more emphasis on the physical practice of the yoga postures, the asanas. Suitable for people who wish to have a slightly stronger practice, but open to beginners as well as more experienced practitioners. The classes are based on a Hatha Flow (Vinyasa), linking postures together in flowing sequence, as well as working with the influence of Iyengar Yoga, emphasising precision and alignment. The Active classes also incorporate pranayama (breath work) and relaxation. Ashtanga A led Ashtanga class in the Primary Series of Ashtanga. This method of Yoga involves synchronizing the breath with progressive series of postures—a process producing internal heat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind. A challenging and dynamic practice. Beginners and improvers classes. Pregnancy Pregnancy is a wonderful time to discover the benefits of yoga. Pregnancy brings many changes, both physically and emotionally. Pregnancy classes devote time to adapting to these changes.
