-roots in Asthanga yoga, Iyengar yoga and the Integral yoga
Ute Wohlmuther - Amsterdam Netherlands
Yoga lite is a modern form of yoga. It teaches the basics of yoga without the cultural overlay, maintaining depth and completion. Meditation, Pranayama, Asanas and the study of philosophy are part of this method. The foundation of the practise is seven movement principals: relaxing body and mind, directing one’s intent, rooting in the pose, connecting, breathing and expanding.
Practised regularly, Yoga lite trains your body and mind to develop introspection and self-determination as a natural way of living.
Yoga lite derives from Vijnana yoga (Orit Sen Gupta), which in turn has it roots in Asthanga yoga, Iyengar yoga and the Integral yoga of Sri Aurobindo.
Ute Wohlmuther, located in Amsterdam, is the founder of Yoga lite. She has 20 years of international teaching experience. Next to teaching regular classes and workshops in the Netherlands, Ute also gives international workshops.
